Starting this month, we're tracking the Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide edition to edition. Microsoft revises it monthly and logs every change in its own Appendix K. Most of it is easy to miss unless you're diffing PDFs for a living, which, going forward, we are. Here's what actually moved between the April 2026 and May 2026 editions.
Short version: one new agent, one metering model change, and a cleanup of the "how to reach sales" language. Both editions run 72 pages, so nothing structural shifted this month.
The headline change: Procurement Agent replaces Supplier Communications Agent
April's edition previewed a "Supplier Communications Agent" for Supply Chain Management, a short description focused narrowly on chasing missing order confirmations and delayed shipments. May's edition replaces it entirely with a more fully scoped Procurement Agent, now in Paid Public Preview, with a materially longer description covering supplier-driven change management, purchase order impact analysis, and disruption response. It's explicitly framed as the first phase of broader procure-to-pay coverage.
Contact Center Digital: message capacity becomes Copilot Credits
A quieter but practically relevant change: Contact Center Digital's Microsoft Copilot Studio capacity used to be listed as a flat 25K messages/tenant/month allowance. May's edition replaces that line item with Copilot Credits instead, consistent with Microsoft's broader shift toward credit-based metering for generative AI features across the Dynamics 365 lineup. If you budgeted against the old flat message allowance, re-check this against current Copilot Credit consumption rates before your next renewal conversation.
Smaller edits worth knowing about
- The "How to Buy Dynamics 365" section dropped the Microsoft Sales phone number in favor of a generic link to the Dynamics 365 Sales page.
- Appendix B's list of applications with Agents in Paid Public Preview now explicitly includes Supply Chain Management (tracking the Procurement Agent addition above).
- A handful of typo and spacing fixes throughout. Not substantive, but they do mean a line-by-line diff against an older cached copy of the guide will show more noise than actual change.

Nothing here changes our current guidance in D365 F&SC Licensing 101. Finance and Supply Chain Management SL tiers and pricing were untouched this month. We'll flag it here going forward whenever that changes.
